Brain Tumours

The human brain is a remarkable organ, controlling our thoughts, emotions, and nearly every function in the body. When a tumour develops in this vital area, it can have severe consequences on a person's well-being. Brain tumours can arise from various types of cells and can affect individuals of any age.

Common Symptoms:

- Persistent headaches, often worse in the morning

- Seizures or muscle spasms

- Vision problems, such as blurred vision or double vision

- Loss of balance or coordination

- Muscle weakness or numbness in parts of the body

- Changes in behaviour, personality, or cognitive abilities

- Speech difficulties

If you experience any of these symptoms, it's crucial to seek medical attention promptly, as early diagnosis and treatment can significantly improve outcomes.

Treatment Procedures:

The treatment approach for brain tumours depends on several factors, including the tumour type, size, location, and the patient's overall health. Common treatment options include:

1. Surgery: Neurosurgeons may perform craniotomies (opening the skull) or minimally invasive procedures to remove the tumour, if possible.

2. Radiation Therapy: High-energy radiation is used to shrink or destroy tumour cells.

3. Chemotherapy: Certain medications can help kill cancer cells or prevent their growth.

4. Targeted Therapy: Newer treatments target specific molecules involved in tumour growth
